Qualcomm’s “Snapdragon 400” brand is a bit confusing. Until now, we’ve known that the Snapdragon 400 featured two Qualcomm Krait cores. Today, that changes. The company has introduced a new chip with the same Snapdragon 400 name that has four ARM Cortex A7 processors and built-in 4G LTE. This new chip has all the same features as the “old” Snapdragon 400, but this new quad core configuration is obviously beneficial form a marketing perspective.

Even AnandTech, a site that I consider to be the leading expert on all things chip related, said this: How fast will four ARM A7 cores be compared to two Krait cores? Good question.
