Fitness machine maker Peloton was recently forced to recall several items after children suffered severe injuries. One child was so badly hurt that he now has permanent brain damage. Peloton machines aren’t designed for children, but when a product specifically made for infants and toddler cause harm, it’s especially devastating. A recall is being issued now for a popular baby rocker posing serious risks. Make sure to share this article with friends and family to keep their kids safe.
Here’s the backstory
Linked to the deaths of four infants, Fisher-Price issued a recall notice for its 4-in-1 Rock ‘n Glide soothers and 2-in-1 Soothe ‘n Play gliders. According to reports filed with the Consumer Product Safety Commission, the infants were placed in the rockers unrestrained and later found suffocated. “These types of incidents are heart-breaking. Loving parents put their babies in these products never expecting a tragedy. Inclined products, such as gliders, soothers, rockers and swings are not safe for infant sleep, due to the risk of suffocation,” said Acting Chairman Robert Adler. Recalled models apparently have two modes for use. One mode is a powered glider seat, while the other is an infant rocker. According to the filing, the products move from side to side or in a head-to-toe motion. When an infant is placed in the soother or glider without fastening the restraints, there is a chance that the child can be thrown from the product if unsupervised. Model numbers are located on the underside of the base. The recalled 4-in-1 Rock ‘n Glide Soothers models are:

The recalled 2-in-1 Soothe ‘n Play Gliders are:
