The folks over at iFixit have published their teardown report of the Galaxy Note 7 that coincides with the device going on sale in the United States. Compared to the Galaxy S7 that got a repairability score of 3 out of 10, the Note 7 does marginally better and got a repairability score of 4. iFixit notes in its teardown that most of the innards of the Note 7 are modular in nature, which means that they can be replaced independently....
OnePlus has started rolling out another OxygenOS update for the OnePlus 3 from today. The OxygenOS 3.2.4 update is a pretty small 26MB update that seems to be targeted at fixing some bugs in the OS. It also likely includes a patch to fix the QuadRooter vulnerability affecting Qualcomm powered devices that was discovered earlier this week. OnePlus has in the past been criticised for their slow software update rollouts....

OnePlus today announced that it will be showcasing a prototype 5G OnePlus phone at MWC 2019. At its booth in MWC 2019, OnePlus will allow attendees to experience “5G cloud gaming” on their new 5G prototype device. According to new research from Strategy Analytics, 87.5 percent of smartphones in the world are now running Android. Shipments hit a total of 328.6 million for 3rd quarter of 2016, which is up 10.3 percent up year-on-year. ile Android had always been hanging around the 80 percent mark, this latest number is a new high. Comparatively, Apple shipped 45.5 million iones, which is down 5.2 percent from the 48 million from last year....

Reports in the past have hinted that the LG G3 could be launched by July or August. But according to a company executive cited by ZDNet Korea, the smartphone will be announced in late June with availability slated to commence in July.
