Perforce, a development and DevOps company, backed by Francisco Partners and Clearlake Capital Group announced on April 11th, that it’s signed a definitive agreement to acquire privately-owned Puppet. The deal is expected to close in the second quarter of 2022. The financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed. Puppet, like most DevOps programs, automates manual scripting. The program, available in both open-source and an open-core commercial version, has its own language, the eponymous Puppet....

The lukewarm response to the Galaxy S9 has forced Samsung to consider launching the Galaxy Note 9 earlier than usual. The news reports are basing this information on the fact that Samsung will start producing OLED panels for use in the Galaxy Note 9 from April itself — two months earlier than the usual timeframe. The earlier than usual production of OLED panels means that Samsung could end up unveiling the Galaxy Note 9 in July or August....

Google’s Assistant-powered Home speakers turned out to be popular tech gifts this Christmas and holiday season. OnePlus has so far done a great job in updating the OnePlus 3/3T to the latest version of Android and providing regular software updates to the handset. However, things are not so rosy with the company’s 2015 flagship, the OnePlus 2. Almost 9 months after Google officially released Android Nougat, OnePlus still has not updated its 2015 flagship killer to it. Worse, the company has been mum on when it plans on rolling out the update and has not rolled out any substantial update to the handset in this time as well....
