If you haven’t been impressed by the smartphones marketed as selfie devices yet, perhaps Oppo can sway you in the other direction. The company has just put up for pre-order the Oppo F1, which it’s calling the “Selfie Expert.” That’s due, in part, to the 8-megapixel front camera with an f/2.0 aperture, and the software that Oppo believes will help you get that perfect shot. With “Beautify 3.0,” users can watch their blemishes get removed and their skin gets brightened, all in an effort to get that perfect shot. Oppo has included three different beautification modes, and there are filters to really bring out the artistic selfie.
On the back, there’s a 13-megapixel camera with an f/2.2 aperture. It also includes a Qualcomm Snapdragon 616 octa-core processor, 3GB of RAM, and 16GB of built-in storage. It has a microSD card slot that supports cards up to 128GB, and the battery is measured in at 2500mAh. The display is a 720p HD screen measured in at 5 inches. It’s running Android 5.1 under Oppo’s ColorOS 2.1. It’s priced at €229 ($250 USD), and it’s available to pre-order right now from Oppo’s site if you live in Europe. For anyone that does pre-order this “Selfie Expert,” you’ll get a selfie stick, too.
