If until now this characteristic had the name “Dash Charge”, problems with the registration of the mark caused the Chinese brand to abandon the denomination. Although technology has evolved at an accelerated pace in recent years, the truth is that the batteries and the autonomy of smartphones have remained almost unchanged for some years now. In order to overcome this issue, as it does not yet have a stable technology to replace the current one, brands have chosen to focus on developing ways to charge the battery faster. Thus, even if the autonomy is not higher, a short charge period becomes sufficient for a few more hours of charging. OnePlus is one of the leading brands in this field, with Dash Charge, one of the most efficient fast loading technologies on the market, managing to charge about two-thirds of the battery in half an hour. Since being introduced in OnePlus 3, the term and brand Dash Charge has accompanied the new smartphones, giving the name to this mode of fast loading. However, this brand seems to have come to an end with OnePlus removing it from everywhere.

Brand “Dash Charge” comes to an end and should be replaced

During the presentation of the new OnePlus 6, there was a term that was purposely omitted from the features of the smartphone, the Dash Charge. Although OnePlus can still use this name to identify its fast loading technology, the Chinese brand has chosen to completely eliminate its use. To do this, it has already renamed all of its media and changed the name of its charging cables to “Fast Charge”. This change should be temporary, while OnePlus looks for a new name for its technology that can be registered. So, what do you think about this?
