Details about Qualcomm’s next-generation mid-range flagship chip, the Snapdragon 670 have been leaked. The chip is codenamed SDM670 and features a Gigabit LTE modem. Successor to the Snapdragon 660, the Snapdragon 670 will be fabricated on the 10nm process. The octa-core chip comprises of ‘low-power’ hexa-core cluster that can run at up to 1.7GHz and are based on ARM’s Cortex-A4. More impressively perhaps, the two other cores are Qualcomm’s Kryo 300 CPUs which can reach as high as up to 2....

After bringing an integrated 5G modem to a mid-range smartphone processor for the first time last year, Samsung has launched a new Exynos chipset with a similar feature set but at a lower price. The Exynos 880 features a 5G modem, on-device AI processing, and a relatively powerful GPU for better gaming performance. The Samsung Exynos 880 chipset is a trimmed-down version of last year’s Exynos 980 processor. It is made using the South Korean electronics giant’s 8nm FinFET process, so it is fairly power efficient when compared to chipsets from Huawei and MediaTek....

Just over a week after its official unveiling, Samsung today unveiled the Galaxy Note 7 in India. The handset has been priced at Rs. 59,900 in the country. The teardown reveals that unlike its predecessor, OnePlus have made less use of glue and more use of screws to keep the 2016 flagship killer in one piece.
